ODA Awards & Competitions
Finds of the Month
Every meeting, we ask that you bring your best metal detecting finds from the prior month to display. We have 4 categories: Coin/Token/Jewelry & All Other. You will display your finds in their appropriate section and write a little bit about it. During the meeting, the members will vote on their favorite find from each section and we award silver prizes for 1st through 3rd place in each category.
Detectorist of the Year
Each person who places 1st through 3rd each month with their "finds of the month" will be awarded points:
1st place = 5 points, 2nd place = 3 points, 3rd place = 1 point
These points will begin each year at the February meeting for the finds of the month from January.
The last month to earn points each year is in October for your September finds. The points are then counted and the
Detectorist of the Year is awarded a trophy at our annual Christmas party along with a nice silver gift!

Gary Fishman Award
Our newest award to the club member who exemplifies friendship, enthusiasm and dedication to the club. This will be an annual award given to the person who exhibits all these qualities and makes the club a better place for all!!!
